Senior Center Nutrition Assistant
Prep Cook: The Sno-Valley Senior Center is seeking volunteers that enjoy cooking and like to have fun. Work with our experienced Meal Manager to put together delicious and nutritious meals. The Prep Cook Volunteers will help the Meal Manager prepare, cook and serve meals. If you have experience baking, cooking, handling knives and reading recipes please apply. You will need to obtain a food handler’s permit from KingCounty.org. It’s helpful if you enjoy working with people, helping seniors having fun.
Nutrition Cashier: Support Sno-Valley Senior Center lunch program by creating a friendly and welcoming environment for our lunch customers. You will be greeting the guests, making change, completing some simple paper work and eating lunch. We are looking for volunteers who can count cash, use basic adding skills and write legibly. So if you enjoying working with people, helping seniors, smiling, visiting and laughing will fit in wonderfully.
Nutrition Server: Do you enjoy working in the kitchen, setting tables, serving, cleaning up? We need your skills to help prepare and serve nutritious meals at Sno-Valley Senior Center for seniors and guests at the Center. We have a lot of fun and you will be well appreciated by clients and staff. We need dependable, efficient people with a positive attitude. You should be comfortable with some cleaning and dish-washing work, as well as some light lifting. A food handler’s permit is required and can be easily obtained online. (You will be directed about how to complete this.) If you enjoy working with food, helping seniors, smiling, visiting and laughing this is for you.
