Location of Volunteer Position:

As per King County health department rules we must count and limit the number shoppers in the farmers market to 2 shoppers per vendor. To facilitate this we need a person at each (of 2) entrances to greet shoppers, ask them to read the health screening questions on a poster, limit to one shopper per household, have a shopping list, wear a mask, don’t touch any produce, no pets (except service animals). Invite them to wash thier hands (or use sanitizer) before entering the market. Maintain a total count on a hand clicker, hold shoppers in a spaced line if the total count of shoppers is greater than 2 per vendor in the market. The market manager will manager the count in the market – but assistance welcomed from the gate keepers in counting/maintaining the number of shoppers in the market.

Home made cloth mask should be worn. A cell phone would be nice for communication but not required.

Additional (optional) help during setup and teardown of the barriers for the guard stations before the market opens and after it closes would be appreciated. We intend to use a 10×10 canopy (both rain & sun protection) to maintain a social distancing for the gate keeper. Chair optional. May use caution tape and other barriers to enforce space.

note: this is very new so the photos lines and the greeter included is from the Bellingham market.
