Oxbow is an organic vegetable farm and center for environmental education and restoration located on Highway 203 north of Carnation. In 15 years, we have grown from a half-acre plot to a 26-acre mixed vegetable farm feeding over 600 CSA members and selling food to 30+ local restaurants and retailers. We are USDA certified organic and believe that healthy food is a product of healthy ecosystems. We care not only for our crops but also for our soil, forest, and river.
In addition to the farm, Oxbow is home to an education center for kids, offering festivals, spring and fall field trip programming for schools, educational summer camps for kids of all ages, and a U-Pick October pumpkin patch.
The Oxbow Native Plant Nursery, in partnership with the University of Idaho Center for Forest Nursery and Seedling Research is a production, research and education facility producing plants native to western Washington for restoration and landscaping projects.
The farm offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in learning more about organic farming and gardening and environmental restoration work.
